Christina Marie Burrell was born on October 25, 1955, in Portland Oregon. She passed away on January 27, 2023, at age 67 in the comfort of her home in Wichita, Kansas with family surrounding her.
Christina was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Lewis Burrell on April 4, 2017, and Mary Margurite Nott Burrell on January 30, 2015.
Christina is survived by her two children, Chadwick D. Whorton of Wichita, and Michael S. (Angie) Houser of Rose Hill; four grandchildren, Kendra and Hailey Houser of Wichita, and Isabelle and Dallas Whorton of Hillsboro, Kansas; one great grandchild, Olivia Rose Logan; two brothers, Timothy Don Burrell (Maureen) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Thomas Lee Burrell (Patricia) of Wichita, and two nephews.
Christina lived a faithful life, devoted to her family. She loved to spend summer vacations with her parents and family in the Colorado mountains. She was active in her church, and thoroughly enjoyed studying her Bible. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren. She had lifelong childhood friends that she always cherished. Christina was a kind, loving soul, who found the good in people. She always had a positive word for anyone that spoke to her.
Christina will be honored with a celebration of life service on, Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, at the Central Community Church, 6100 West Maple, Wichita, Kansas. Visitation from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. Service will begin at 10:00 am. A luncheon will be served immediately following the service. Interment will be at 2:30 pm Spring Grove Cemetery, Anthony, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that a memorable be given to Central Community Church, 6100 West Maple, Wichita, Kansas.
