There are too many words to describe this amazing lady, and hopefully we’re able to find at least some of them during this time. She was smart, funny, stubborn, one of a kind, amazing, caring, always optimistic and just cool. She was the one you always looked to when you needed a mom’s advice, and she was always honest with you and didn’t mince words. She looked after everyone and loved them unconditionally. She was the protector, and the smile when you needed it. She was a safe haven for family and friends when there was nowhere else.

There have been so many stories about how she took care of both family and friends. How she took them to their first dance or got them started in skating; she always pushed you to be your best and give it your all. Even with all the trials in life, they never dimmed her light in the world. Hopefully we can come together and share our stories and keep her strength going in this life and for generations to come.

She had 1 daughter, Kelly Marcotte (41) and 1 granddaughter Jillian Marcotte (14) that were her happiness, and she was their rock, their strength, and their guiding light. She always placed them first in her life and wanted the best for them, always supporting even when her daughter was as stubborn as she was.

She is survived by brothers and sister; Gary and Marty Chapman, Devlin, David, and Mark Thompson, Rhonda Bennett, many nieces and nephews, and greats as well.

She was not one for traditions and made her own way. I’m hoping to honor her wishes the best we can and do right by her. Celebration of Life will be held in the spring, which is the time of year she loved best (except when it made her sneeze).

In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations in order to cover the unexpected costs. You may donate Here
