Obituary for Carl Mills
Mills, Carl Eugene 81, of Mulvane, KS passed away surrounded by his loving family on
Saturday, May 25, 2019. Carl served in the Army 1955-58 and was selected to participate in President Eisenhower’s Honor Guard Inauguration Parade. He held several jobs throughout his life and spent many years as a Truck Driver as well as a Construction Supervisor. He loved to fish and be outdoors and spent many a day with a pole in his hand. He played an excellent game of cards and dominoes. He was a fantastic storyteller and his sense of humor was hard to beat.
He was preceded in death by his parents George Mills and Velma Matthews Mills, and by his Grand Parents David Matthews and Edna Shaver Matthews, as well as George Thomas Mills & Carrie Ward Mills, as well as two sisters, Neoma Staples and Ina Schaldach. Survived by his wife of 41 years, Betty Westfall Mills, his children, Ronald Mills, Monica Marcy (Tom), Carla Morton (Chuck), Michelle Kelley, and Nancy Farber-Mottola (Luciano). Siblings, Wendy McClure, Sue Potter, George Mills (Donna), Caline Mills, Nellie Smith (Ray), Joetta Sanderson. 8 Grandchildren, and 7 Great Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Mulvane United Methodist Church at 107 S Central Ave, Mulvane, KS 67110 and/or the American Cancer Society at www.Cancer.org.
