Obituary for Brian Jude Holinde

Brian Jude Holinde, age 55, of Derby, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at his home.

Brian was born on November 26, 1966, to Kenneth and Evelyn (Breault) Holinde, in Wellington, Kansas. He was raised in Belle Plaine, Kansas, where he attended Elementary School and High School, graduating in 1985. He went on to Ottawa University on a track scholarship and later attended Emporia State University before moving to Wichita.

Brian married Cara (Hermreck) Tuohey on October 5, 1991. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Kyle Jude, and Kolten Jacob. They later divorced. He married Kim (Richardson) Holinde on May 25, 2002, and during their marriage, they were also blessed with two sons, Karter Blake and Kole Barrett. They later divorced.

Brian had been employed in the aerospace industry for over 30 years and had been employed at Spirit Aerospace since 2004, working as a Tooling Technician.

Throughout his life, he kept in contact with friends he had made since childhood. If you were in his circle of friends, you were a friend for life. His sense of humor and quick wit was one of a kind and will be sorely missed by many. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, cheering on his beloved Wichita State Shockers and spending time with his sons. Especially the weekends they spent making memories while fishing and camping out on the Ninnescah River. However, everyone who knew him knows, his greatest blessing was his Granddaughter, Jaesynn Grace. She was the light of his life, and he was so proud to be her “Pop Pop”.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by four sons, Kyle, and wife JayCe, Neosho, Missouri, Kolten, Wichita, Kansas, Karter and Kole of Mulvane, Kansas. His siblings, Renee (Greg) Ockwood, Lyndon, KS, Gerard (Marylin) Holinde, Great Bend, KS, Michelle (Joe) Hamilton, Belle Plaine, KS, Mary (Joe) Hunt, Belle Plaine, KS, and Karen (Butch) Hogan, Glendale, AZ. Stepmother, Margorie Walton, Lawrence, Kansas, Stepsisters, Linda Walton (John Muller), New York City, NY and Rita Walton, Yonkers, New York, and his beloved nieces, nephews, and their families.
