As a born again Christian, Bob was always active in his church community. In his later years, his service to the church became his primary focus. Bob took on new roles to share his life-long faith in Jesus Christ, serving on the Board of Elders, the Business Committee, teaching Sunday School and singing in the Choir at Westside Christian Church before making the West Douglas Church of Christ his final church home.
In his final years, Bob was blessed with the companionship of his special friend, Carla Butterfield.
