Beverly June Turnbull, 92, of Cookson, Ok, passed away peacefully in Derby, KS surrounded by family on August 20, 2020. She was born in Clements, KS in 1928 and is survived by her brother Harold Steadman and sister Bernice Odle, and older sister Elaine departed. She married the late Glen Krueger in 1949. They had three children, Scott (Cathy) Krueger, of Mansfield TX, Glennda Wagner, Clarksburg, CA, and Leah (Kyle) Dickehut, Derby KS. Eighteen years later she married Joseph Turnbull. His son Errol Turnbull and wife Debbie of Kansas City have always been part of our family. In 1975 at the age of 47 Beverly went back to school and graduated from Wesley School of Nursing in Wichita, KS. She loved her nursing career which she continued until she retired at 72 from Hastings Indian Hospital at Tahlequah, Ok. She was a member of Cookson United Methodist Church where she also volunteered for the after school program. She enjoyed her women's card group, sewing, gardening, bird watching and spending time with her loving husband J.W. Later in life she loved reading and watching basketball. She will be missed by her loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always there to help her family and we will treasure those memories spent together.
