Obituary for Barbara Ellen (Hopper) Hall

Hall, Barbara Ellen (Hopper),
age 89, passed away on Jan 28, 2021. She was born Jan 18, 1932 to Oscar and Lavina (Smith) Hopper in Grenola, Elk County, Kansas. She attended the Cloverdale, Kansas one-room school through 8th grade and graduated from Moline, Kansas High School in 1948. Barbara married Robert G. Hall Sept 11, 1954 in Wichita. She was a receptionist for Stephenson C.P.A. in Winfield, Kansas, PBX operator with Southwestern Bell, PBX Receptionist for Henry's Clothing, File Clerk and PBX operator with Boeing Aircraft Co., and Receptionist at Central Bank & Trust. She had a love for animals, gardening, and children. She worked several years at the Derby Woodlawn Methodist Church Mom's Day Out program. After retiring, she volunteered for the Fleet Reserve Assoc. Auxiliary as Secretary/Treasurer. She enjoyed many years as a member of S.M.A.R.T (Special Military and Retired Travel) club, traveling the country in an RV with her husband, Bob.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Wanda (Charles O.) Cornwell, Wichita, Kansas and Carol Bentley Smith, Ventura, California. She is survived by husband of 67 years, Bob; son, Brian (Gina M.), and daughter, Brenda Hall (Joseph P.) Wedding of Centerville, Ohio; grandchildren, Lyndsy Riley; and sister, JoAnn (Bill) Connell.

Graveside service will be 10:00 am Thursday, February 4, 2021 at White Chapel Cemetery. A memorial has been established with Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy, 130 Topeka St. Wichita, KS 67202.
