Obituary for Allen C. Carlile

Wichita – Carlile, Allen Curtis 71, passed away Wednesday June 14, 2023 at his home with his daughters by his side. Allen was born August 5, 1951 in Kingman, Kansas. He worked in the aircraft industry as a welder most of his career. After leaving the aircraft industry he became an independent contractor and was sought out by many for his welding abilities. He loved to do any type of work with his hands. You name it, he could build it or fix it. He truly was a Jack of all trades. He had a passion for cars and trucks, He always had one in his shop that he was rebuilding or remodeling. With that passion and talent he went to many car shows over the years and won many awards for his work. One of the cars he rebuilt and painted was featured in Hot Rod Magazine.

When he wasn’t working in his shop he loved to ride his Harley Davidson, it didn’t matter if it was a short drive, the long drive to Sturgis, or doing charity bike rallies here in town, he just loved to ride. Above all else his daughters and his grandchildren were his world.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Wilma (Stonehocker) Carlile, sister Shirley Carlile.

He is survived by his daughters, Brandi (DaVon) Walker, Krystal Carlile and Tracy (Heath) Shaffer, grandchildren Devyn Lam, Jaysa Wade, Dawsyn Gardner, Caele Shaffer, Ceyanna Shaffer and Ceeara Shaffer. and 3 great grandchildren with 1 on the way. Brother Cy (Janet) Carlile. Sisters Carolyn (Alonzo) Rodriguez, Dianna (Don) Boothe and Sandy (Robert) Bennett.

Graveside service is Monday, June 26 2023, at 10:00 am at Hillcrest Cemetery, 10102 E 95th St South, Derby, KS 67037.
