Ann Jo Smith, age 87, loving wife, mother and grandmother, who surrounded by her family, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 31, 2017, following a long battle with Alzheimer's. Visitation 1-7 pm Thursday, November 2, with recitation of the Rosary at 7 pm, both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd, Derby. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Friday, November 3, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2300 E. Meadowlark, Derby. Interment will follow at El Paso Cemetery. Ann was born August 1, 1930 in Charleville, County Cork, Ireland. She married Charles D. Smith, December 15, 1952 in England. They were married almost 65 years, during which they traveled much of the world. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 6 sisters. She is survived by her husband, Charles; son, Jim Smith (Debra), of Derby; and her daughters, Linda Turner (Alan), and Denny Kleman (Tony), all of Derby; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
