Obituary for Jeanne E. Bryan

Jeanne E. Bryan, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, March 30, 2018. Jeanne was born on November 19, 1929 in Beloit, Wisconsin. She was the second born of three children, sister Donna Demos and brother Jack Chatsey. Jeanne grew up in Belot, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school she met the love of her life in Washington, D. C.

She married Ernest C. Bryan on September 24, 1948. They established their family home in Haysville, Ks. where she was a homemaker and worked at Richard TenEyck Associates for many years, until retirement. Jeanne was a talented person who enjoyed painting, gardening, sewing as well as many other hobbies. In her later years she and her husband spent time traveling and meeting up with family who enjoyed fishing and RV camping.

She will be remembered as the family letter writer, keeping up with all the news. Jeanne had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of First Baptist Church-Haysville for over 50 years. During those years she was very active in committees, taught Sunday School, and her church family was very important to her as was her journey with the Lord.

Preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother, and daughter in law, Jan Bryan. Survived by children Mike Bryan of Woodlyn, Penn., Kathie (Tom) Fornshell of Wichita, Conny (Don) Carlisle of Broken Arrow, Okla.; brother in law Ben F. (Joyce) Bryan of Oklahoma City; treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11AM, with visitation 1 hour prior to service on Thursday, April 5 at the Haysville First Baptist Church, 125 S. Delos, Haysville, Ks. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
